OUR PROGRAMMES
As a response to the increasing W.A.I.Tech graduates, Rangataua Mauriora establised a rangatahi (youth) based waka ama club under the korowai of Ngati Toa Rangatira. The purpose of the club was to provide a pathway and opportunities for tamariki and rangatahi to whakaahua (reflect & enhance) their self identity and to provide opportunities to compete at the highest levels of waka ama (outrigger canoeing).
Toa Waka Ama Club is still a new club on the waka ama scene but is steadily becoming a well known and respected club in Aotearoa.
